Misc

Sister Everton really knows how to catch the moment and turn it into a beautiful picture. This is one of my favorites of Peter talking to Sisters Hill and Wassenaar.

Soule loves children and they love him. Gabriel de Witt is sitting on his lap.
Li was baptised by Elder Osmond. Li is from China and is, according to the Elders, the purest person they had ever met. Elder Osmond is teaching him how to tie a tie after his baptism.

The Sisters in Amsterdam had a washer that died while washing clothes. Elder Sladen could not fix the washer or get the water out so they got a new washer for the sisters. The old washer needed to be removed and was on the 3rd floor of the apartment which is like a multi-level town house. An empty washer is heavy but being full of water made it very heavy. Elder Salden was not sure how to get it down the 2 flights of a narrow spiral staircase. I knew Elder Schulte was strong and figured we could do it by going step by step with him on the bottom side and me on the top. We got it down half way down the first flight and Elder Schulte said "I got it". He picked it up off the stairs and set it on the floor.

Carrying the washer full of water was totally amazing. Elder Schulte is strong but is also soft spoken and humble. He was just made a senior companion, trainer and district leader in Gent, Belgium. If you go back to the early August picture with the surf board, Elder Schulte is the first one on the board.

This is one of the beautiful sunrises from our flat. Another moment captured by Sister Everton
