Murwin's Baptism

Murwin was baptised October 7th. He is from Suriname. He was a wonderful spirit. He has read the Book of Mormon. On the wall of the font room is a reproduction of the painting of the people being baptised by Alma in the waters of Mormon. He saw the picture and immediately identified the story.

This is Murwin and Franklin. Franklin is also from Suriname. We have had the two of them in our car. Their converstaions in the Surname language are loud and spirited. Franklin is a soccer coach for two teams comprised of disadvantaged kids. He has taught himself the gospel by reading the Bible. He is well into the Book of Mormon and finds it easier to understand. All he wants to do is serve Christ. His baptism is for October 14 but he is struggling with opposition. We will be fasting with him October 10.
